Successful Weekend Escape |

On a cold October afternoon with rain and mild winds the day was set for the main event in Colon MI. More than 300+ onlookers gathered to witness this event. The main street of Colon was blocked in both directions while the boom trucks took their place. Exactly 3:00 PM, as scheduled, things settled in and Steven got secured into the moist straitjacket. The volunteers from the audience firmly fastened all the straps on the straitjacket and Steven was put into position to be shackled - around 3:10 PM Steven was securely fastened by his ankles and ready to be hoisted above solid roadway 40+ feet into the air dangling upside down. The ride up was 30 seconds leaving his twin brother Michael a dot below.
Rick Fisher who was on the ground began timing the escape. Steven took immediate action in the cold blistering rain and wind to get out of the straitjacket as fast as humanly possible. Within 30 seconds he successfully got his hands free. 45 seconds he started working his hands around trying to get them out to the buckles in the back - stuck - something wrong? Miraculously his hand stuck out and began to unfasten the straps in the back. 1 minute - is he done? 1 minute 5 seconds the straight jacket falls to the street.
In spite of the cold weather and the rain it was an intense achievement. We would like to thank our sponsors who made the event possible: FAB Magic Co., Professional Climbers for the boom trucks, and the Colon Hardware Store for supplying equipment.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event November 2, 2007 at 7:30 in Athens MI at Athens High School. The proceeds go toward the Athens Community Foundation.

We have been blessed to have been part of an amazing event
this Christmas that was presented by CIR (Community Inclusive Recreation). This year CIR held an event at McCamly Plaza Hotel ball room, located in Battle Creek, MI, for a large show for individuals of all abilities. This year they asked 'The Mirror Images' to
perform as the opening act and introduction to The Big E (Elvis Impersonator).
The show was fantastic and one of the most rewarding shows that 'The Mirror Images' have ever done.
If you missed this
year's event there is always next year. Over 500 people attended this year with only enough seats for 450 people. A fantastic turn out.

Steven and Michael just got back from doing a show with Jared Sherlock - Phantasma. The show was put on to help raise money for the Indiana Wish Foundation. It was a great pleasure to be part of the show and to help Jared. The crew and staff of Phantasma was able to raise above and beyond the needed amount to send 2 kids to anywhere in the United States. This is an awesome accomplishement for everyone that was involved.
Proceeds from the event help Indiana Children's Wish Fund, a 5013 not-for-profit organization which grants wishes to Indiana children, ages 2-19, who suffer from a life-threatening illness. Indiana
Children’s Wish Fund has granted nearly 1,600 wishes within the past 20 years.
Indiana Children’s Wish Fund is the ONLY accredited wish granting organization
operating in the State of Indiana and is a member of a The Association of Wish
Granting Associations. If you missed the show you missed amazing illusions,
comedy, and entertainment all the way around. See you next
time.
